The Antics Joke Show ft. The Death Hilarious

Date: Saturday, Feb 24 2018
Time: 7:00pm
Venue: Cafe Kino

The Antics Joke Show (“the best stand-up, sketch and improv in town” – Wriggle Bristol) returns to its regular haunt, Stokes Croft’s Café Kino, with a headline set from The Death Hilarious:

“Welsh working class heroes and mountebanks The Death Hilarious are inflicting their debut Edinburgh hour The Scum Always Rises with a full measure of devotion, in practice for their run at the Soho Theatre in Feb/March.

Plus improv from Halfway Up. “After their longform debut at the December show, the improv division of house team Up The Antics are back for more. You suggest a word at the beginning of the show, then sit back and watch our talented improvisers create their very own world. Half an hour of improv, set in one room — what could possibly go wrong?

Keep our city's journalism independent.

Stand-up from Rob Cooper, a Bristol-based stand-up comedian and Chortle Student Comedy Award Semi-Finalist 2017. And Rebecca Pickets, a trainee nurse whose reckless optimism and NHS stories make for an entertaining stand-up set. She has compered at the Wardrobe Theatre’s monthly Bristol Story Slam for the past two years (recommended in The Guardian’s Alternative Guide to Bristol).

MC is Bath-based Peter Jones. 7.30pm/doors 7pm.
