Dance
Face In / Hot Mess
Candoco are a UK company of seven extraordinary disabled and non-disabled dancers. The pieces they produce are always outstanding, innovative works of art, and are not to be missed.
They return to Bristol in February with two striking works: Face In, choreographed by Yasmeen Godder, and Hot Mess, by Theo Clinkard.
Set to an urban indie score, Face In plays with masks, perceptions, and unbounded facial expressions.
is needed now More than ever
Hot Mess is an anarchic performance set to an eclectic score by award-winning music artist, Joe Newman of alt-J. Both works are performed in Candoco’s inimitable fun, accessible and beautiful style.
This performance is part of Bristol Old Vic’s month of dance, part of its commendable mission to shine a light on an art form that needs championing in Bristol. There is a special discount offer for the three dance pieces: Face In / Hot Mess, Chotto Xenos and Rambert2. Visitors can save 10% if they book 2 dance shows, or save 15% if they book all three. The discount will be automatically applied at checkout. Tickets can be booked at www.bristololdvic.org.uk or by calling 0117 987 7877.
