SESSION

Date: Wednesday, Aug 7 2019 - Sunday, Aug 11 2019
Venue: The Station
Price: £10-£25

Still House returns to Bristol with an encore of their outdoor performance Session this summer.

Made in collaboration with Tottenham’s Steppaz Performing Arts Academy and North London’s afrobeats powerhouse Empire Sounds, Session is a battle cry and a love song, celebrating community, youth and belonging.

Session was first performed in Bristol in July 2018 to great acclaim, and the performance apparently found a perfect home at The Station.

Keep our city's journalism independent.

Still House also brought us Of Riders & Running Horses – the Mayfest piece performed on the roof of Queen Charlotte Street NCP – and Session gives us the same buzz of up-close dancing and live music in a special outdoor setting.

Part dance performance, part gig, part social, and part rave, Session combines hip-hop, contemporary folk and afrobeats to create an experience that is something entirely new. It’s exhilarating, and shouldn’t be missed.

Directed by Dan Canham.

Appropriate for all ages, although please note the show will be quite loud so ear defenders may be required for small children. It’s an outdoor show so dress for the weather.

Aug 7-11 (no perf Sat 10),  Wed-Fri 8.30pm / Sun 4pm. For more info, visit www.creativeyouthnetwork.org.uk/Event/session or Tickets link below.
