Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars

Director
D.A. Pennebaker
Certificate
PG
Running Time
120 mins

Yep, it’s D.A. Pennebaker‘s frequently repackaged 1973 concert film documenting David Bowie‘s final performance as Ziggy Stardust at the Hammersmith Odeon. Mind you, this does showcase Bowie at his absolute peak with the brilliant Spiders from Mars (that’s Mick Ronson, Trevor Bolder and Woody Woodmansey).

The additional attraction here is a new 30 minute documentary produced by Mojo magazine, featuring Mojo’s Editor-in-Chief Phil Alexander in conversation with Woodmansey – now, sadly, the only surviving member of the band who performed that night. Ticket holders will also bag a copy of a special issue of the mag documenting the Ziggy era, with an exclusive cover.
