Palestinian rapper Tamer Nafar stars in an award-winning, fictionalised version of his own story. He plays a hip-hop artist named Kareem who becomes ‘the first Arab rapper’ in Lod, close to Tel Aviv, where Israelis and Palestinians live side-by-side in a crime-ridden ghetto.
