Benjamin + Simon Amstell Q&A

Director
Simon Amstell
Certificate
15
Running Time
83 mins

Simon Amstell does the Woody Allen thing with his second film as director (after the BBC hit Carnage) by getting an actor (Colin Morgan) to play a version of himself in this bittersweet, self-referential comedy-drama.

Morgan’s Benjamin is an anxiety-ridden, socially inept filmmaker whose difficult second film as director, the aptly titled No Self, is about to be thrown to the critical wolves at the BFI London Film Festival (as indeed Benjamin was). To further fuel his emotional turmoil, he’s just fallen for an attractive French musician named Noah (Phénix Brossard)…

Simon Amstell will be present for a Q&A after the Watershed’s preview screening on March 12.
