But enough of my yakkin’, here’s Rob Reiner‘s definitive rock doc spoof, offering another chance to chant along with those lines we all know and love. Fascinating fact: while many British metal bands have claimed they were the inspiration for the Tap, it was actually Saxon who the team went on tour with while writing the film. Former Saxon bassist Steve ‘Dobby’ Dawson and Derek Smalls are clearly one and the same person. Reiner’s fawning interviewer Marty DiBergi, meanwhile, was inspired by Martin Scorsese.
