Bill Murray is ruthless, tight-fisted IBC TV ecec Frank Cross, flooding the airwaves with garish preview spots for his live Christmas Eve show – the Dickens fave, Scrooge. All is well until Frank himself starts to receive disturbing visitations from Christmas past, present and future.

The sight of Murray slowly going to pieces on the set of his show provides ample opportunity for effects and double-takes. There’s also a scattering of famous faces in cameo roles, from Robert Mitchum to Lee Majors and even Miles Davis as a street busker. Alas, the inventive comedy eventually turns to revolting schmaltz, though Murray remains a treat to watch.

Deckchair seating will be available on a first come, first served basis for this free outdoor screening organised by Big Screen Bristol. Bring your own blankets. Go here for further details.
