Victor/Victoria

Director
Blake Edwards
Certificate
15
Running Time
128 mins

It probably won’t pass any stern wokeness tests, but Blake Edwards‘ crude 1982 musical screwball comedy does enjoy some extraordinary casting in the form of Julie Andrews as a fella who impersonates another lady in pursuit of fame and fortune in 1930s Paris. James Garner plays the conspicuously heterosexual chap who’s attracted to Victor and/or Victoria.

It’s back on screen in the We Are Here season.
