Bristol Radical Film Festival: Brexitannia

Director
Timothy George Kelly
Certificate
12A
Running Time
84 mins

Why did people vote for Brexit? To make Britain great again? To take back control of our wonky cucumbers? To give the ruling elite a black eye? To hand over an extra £350m a week to the NHS? This first feature documentary about the referendum interviews ordinary punters from across the country about why they voted the way they did. Unsurprisingly, a rose-tinted nostalgia for a non-existent past emerges. Timothy George Kelly‘s film also solicits the views of a bunch of experts, including Noam Chomsky and Saskia Sassen.

This first local screening opens the 2017 Bristol Radical Film Festival. Go here for tickets.
