UK Green Film Festival: Earth

Director
Nikolaus Geyrhalter
Certificate
TBA
Running Time
115 mins

Austrian filmmaker Nikolaus Geyrhalter laid bare mechanised food production and grotesque animal slaughter in his 2008 documentary Our Daily Bread and explored what a post-human world might look like in 2016’s Homo Sapiens. Now he turns his attention to the Anthropocene with the similarly meditative Earth.

Divided into seven sections, the film spans large-scale mining sites across Europe and America where industry has wreaked enormous change on the landscape. It’s screened as part of the UK Green Film Festival.
