‘American primitive’ guitarist and ‘cosmic Americana’ pioneer Ronnie Basho lived in the shadow of his label boss John Fahey, but his peculiar tale is well told in this documentary, from his mystical visions and fascination with Native American culture to his very strange demise. Contributors include Pete Townshend, Glenn Jones and Country Joe McDonald.
Director Liam Barker will be present for a Q&A after this screening. There’s also a live performance by C. Joynes.
