The first Star Trek series to be created without his involvement, Deep Space Nine divided Trekkers for daring to deviate from Gene Roddenberry’s vision of the future. Nonetheless, it still managed to build an enthusuastic fan base, which has continued to grow thanks to streaming services.

This crowd-funded 25th anniversary documentary by Ira Steven Behr (showrunner of the original series) and David Zappone (The Captains, For The Love of Spock) explores its legacy and reunites the writing team to imagine a future episode.
