The Afrika Eye Film Festival presents a double-bill of films by maverick Senegalese director Djibril Diop Mambety as part of the Africa’s Lost Classics project. From 1970, the rarely-seen Badou Boy follows a ‘bad boy’ as he struggles to survive in the bustling city of Dakar in the late 1960s. Recently restored by Martin Scorsese, 1973’s Touki Bouki follows two young lovers as they attempt to escape Senegal for Paris.
