Troubled Edinburgh photographer Barbara (Celia Imrie) tells her boyfriend (Jack Shepherd) the story – sketched in flashback – of her mother, who died in the sea off Orkney when she was nine, some 40 years earlier. The late Margaret Tait‘s lauded drama of loss and guilt is screened in the Women on the Periphery strand of Cinema Rediscovered with an introduction by producer Kate Swan.
