Matteo Gorrone, Italian director of the original film version of Gomorrah and that splendid fantasy anthology Tale of Tales, returns with this equally tremendous fact-based drama about a nerdy dog-groomer who has a sideline as a smalltime cocaine dealer in order to fund expensive holidays for his beloved daughter. Alas for poor Marcello (Marcello Fonte), one of his customers for the latter is monstrous local thug and former boxer Simoncino, who bullies him into commiting a burglary. It’s not long before the little fella’s life starts to unravel, forcing him to come over all pitbull…
