The welcome return of Robert Aldrich’s noir classic, which Tarantino referenced so reverently in Pulp Fiction. It’s the tale of an amoral, cynical PI named Mike Hammer (Ralph Meeker), who finds himself drawn into a criminal underworld conspiracy after witnessing the murder of a mystery blonde (Cloris Leachman).

It’s back on screen as part of both the Cube’s noir season, and the Festival of the Future City film programme.
