Innocent country boy Dong-shik pitches up in post-war Seoul in search of his brother Young-shik, only to find that he’s become a small-time criminal romantically involved with sex worker Sonya.  An unexpected love triangle develops in this bold 1958 drama from prolific Shin Sang-ok, which features a terrific performance by Choi Eun-hee as the audacious Sonya.

It’s screened in 35mm to launch a short selection of films from the 14th London Korean Film Festival.
