Willem Dafoe is Tom – aka TS Eliot – and Miranda Richardson his missus Viv, who winds up in the nuthouse, in Brian Gilbert’s 1994 biographical drama, which never quite escapes its stage origins. It also marked British composer Debbie Wiseman’s breakthrough with a suitably yearning score.
