Exhibition on Screen serves up another informed HD canter through a blockbuster art exhibition so you don’t have to haul ass to London to be herded round it like cattle. This time it’s the Cézanne Portraits exhibition, which brings together for the first time more than fifty of the artist’s portraits from collections across the world, including works which have never been on public display in the UK.
Phil Grabsky‘s film includes interviews with curators and experts from London’s National Portrait Gallery, MoMA New York, National Gallery of Art Washington, and Musée d’Orsay Paris. Using correspondence from the artist himself, it explores the places where he lived and worked to shed light the fella who’s been described as the least known of the impressionists.
