La Boheme from Taormina – Encore screening

Director
Enrico Castiglione
Certificate
12A
Running Time
145 mins

A quartet of bohos share a grim garret in 1830s Paris. On Christmas Eve, poet Rodolfo is visited by neighbour Mimi and they promptly fall in love. But – hey! – this is opera, so misery can’t be far away.

Enrico Castiglione‘s production of Puccini’s romantic opera was recorded live at the spectacular Teatro Antico di Taormina – the second largest ancient Greek theatre in Italy, which sits on the coast of Sicily under the shadow of Mt. Etna.
