Horror in the Caves: The Cabin in the Woods

Director
Drew Goddard
Certificate
15
Running Time
95 mins

Five young adults set off from the city in their RV for a weekend of debauchery at a remote, abandoned cabin in the woods. In fact, it’s so remote that it doesn’t even show up on their GPS, so they have to ask a sinister garage attendant for directions. Yup, this is a very familar set-up, but Lost and Cloverfield writer Drew Goddard‘s directorial debut, co-written with Buffy and Firefly creator Joss Whedon, promptly whisks the run from under our feet with an audacious and effective twist.

It’s back on screen in spooky old Redcliffe Caves as part of Bristol Film Festival‘s ever-popular Halloween week Horror in the Caves season. Go here for ticket information.
