Dinema: The Blues Brothers

Director
John Landis
Certificate
15
Running Time
133 mins

Objectively, it’s all a bit of a mess, and has been responsible for inspiring some truly terrible tribute acts, but there’s no arguing with the popularity of John Landis‘s 1980 musical comedy with Dan Aykroyd and the late John Belushi as a pair of criminal brothers who get their old r’n’b band back together to raise funds for their old orphanage. Watch out for cameos by the likes of Aretha Franklin, Cab Calloway and Ray Charles.

This screening is part of the three-day Dinema (dining, cinema, geddit?) event at the Memorial Stadium. Food and drink will be available from a street food area, featuring stalls from the Bristol Beer Factory, Flipside Cocktail Club and other local independent establishments. Access to this area, which will host live music from the likes of DJ Cheeba, is free. See the Dinema Facebook page for more information. Advance tickets for the screening are available here.
