It’s certainly not the best of Alfred Hitchcock‘s four collaborations with Bristol’s own Cary Grant, but this 1955 romcom thriller is suitably breezy and glamorous for a gala screening to conclude the Cary Grant Comes Home for the Weekend festival. Our boy plays a reformed French Riviera jewel thief known at The Cat, who sets out to catch his imitator, thereby proving his innocence, with a little help from rich American girl Grace Kelly. Watch how much fun Hitch has intercutting foreplay and fireworks before this became a cliche.
