Terry Gilliam’s blackly comic dystopian masterpiece: a visually stunning, post-Orwellian downbeat fantasy with Jonathan Pryce as a humble statistician thrust into the world of terrorist Robert De Niro by a simple computer error. The script and art direction both received Oscar nominations, but it should have won a great deal more.
Bristol Film Festival’s screening takes place in Redcliffe Caves as part of the Fest’s Underground Cinema programme. Go here for tickets.
