Afrika Eye 2018: Five Fingers for Marseilles

Director
Michael Matthews
Certificate

Running Time
120 mins

The vast, stunning landscape of South Africa’s Eastern Cape takes the place of the Old West in this John Ford-style South African western, which builds to a High Noon-style finale.

Twenty years ago, in Marseilles, South Africa, the young Five Fingers gang flees after a violent stand against brutal police oppression. Now, freedom-fighter-turned-outlaw Tau is back, seeking only a peaceful, pastoral, life. But the town is facing a new threat, so must the Five Fingers ride again? Five Fingers for Marseilles is on screen as part of the Afrika Eye festival.
