Bertha’s Pizza x Tutto Wines
In the first of a series of takeovers, Alex Whyte of Tutto Wines hosts an evening of tasting, sharing his passion and the stories behind the bottles paired by pizza and small bites.
Bertha’s Pizza in Wapping Wharf will be hosting a series of takeovers teaming up with their favourite wine importers who will each put forward a selection of their best pizza matchings.
This new approach is designed to bring the drinker closer to the grower and winemaker; with each takeover accompanied by talks, tastings and bin end night debauchery.
is needed now More than ever
“Ever since we were introduced to Alex we have wanted Tutto wines on our list, but slotting them amongst others didn’t give them the stage they deserved,” said Bertha’s Pizza owners Graham and Kate Faragher.
“With the passing of Birch and Bar Buvette, only the excellent Marmo flies the flag currently in Bristol and we’re super excited about stocking more of their range with an Italian allstars pizza selection.
“We hope that approaching wine from a more human angle will make it less intimidating. It’s also a blatant excuse to stock more of the wines that we love to drink.”
Tutto Wines’ list will be at Bertha’s for the next few months, all available by the bottle, with a rotating grower of the week and accompanying wines by the glass. All wines are produced using sustainable farming and production methods.
