Following the Bristol composer/saxophonist Kevin Figes’ superb gig with his sextet back in March we’ve been trying to find a date to get Kevin back and we’re really pleased he will be playing with his excellent quartet comprised of Jim Blomfield, Riaan Vosloo and Mark Whitlam. The Kevin Figes Quartet are one of the bands that helped us launch Fringe Jazz back in 2012 and their gigs at the Fringe are always special. The band will be playing music from their critically acclaimed 2016 album Weather Warning on Pig Records and their earlier CDs Tables and Chairs (Pig) and Circular Motion (Edition). This is going to be an excellent evening and should not be missed.
