is needed now More than ever
Swing Circus is a young Bristol-based company founded by Loz James, with the aim to combine high-level swing dancing and circus in order to explore questions of racial intergration in a modern context. Straight out of the rehearsal room, this is the premiere of their brand new show.
The company took inspiration from the history of the Lindy Hop, a dance which emerged out of the joyful and infectious outpouring of African-American arts in Harlem, its introduction to the UK and what we can learn from the Harlem Renaissance today. This show is all about celebrating diversity, by means of swing dance and circus.
Oct 19, 7.30pm, £11/£9 concs. All ages.
