Baba Yaga

Date: Tuesday, Dec 4 2018 - Friday, Dec 7 2018
Venue: Alma Tavern & Theatre

New Bristol company MirrorMask Productions adapt the Russian folk tale.

Anyone Ilisa has ever known lives in the same house, works with the same people and all in the same village. Nobody ever leaves or arrives, everyone has the same story.

Unsettled and knowing there is something missing in her life, Ilisa meets Baba Yaga.

Baba Yaga teaches Ilisa that, in order to survive, she must witness and break the pattern that has always been around her. In doing this, Ilisa must challenge everything she has ever known to be true.

Set in a dystopian world where nothing ever changes, MirrorMask’s adaptation of the Russian folktale Baba Yaga uses an original script and music to examine the power of young minds, and the necessity for change.

Dec 4-7, 8pm, £9 / £7 concs.
