Portishead and Goldfrapp unite at cathedral

By Oliver Evans  Wednesday Sep 7, 2016

Adrian Utley from Portishead and Will Gregory from Goldfrapp are set to perform a new film score with award-winning conductor Charles Hazlewood at Wells Cathedral on October 7.

The band members have created a score to accompany a screening of 1920s film The Passion of Joan of Arc directed by Carl Theodor Dreyer.

The film will be screened in one of England’s first Gothic-style cathedrals, and Hazlewood will perform the piece along with members of the Montverdi Choir.
