The Pony & Trap launches anniversary menu

By Ella Wills  Friday Feb 26, 2016

The Pony & Trap in Chew Magna will celebrate their ten-year anniversary with a ten course tasting menu on March 21, followed by 10 more weeks of the menu inspired by a decade of food at the Michelin-starred pub.

Diners can opt for this menu every day except Sunday, when Sunday lunch will run as usual. The standard a la carte and six course tasting menus will also continue alongside the celebratory menu.

Dishes will feature locally sourced ingredients including meat from Blagdon Butchery, seasonal produce from Heavenly Hedgerows, fish from Chew Valley Smokehouse and leaves from Bristol’s Severn Project.

Co-owner and chef Josh Eggleton, also behind the newly reopened Yurt Lush next to Temple Meads, said: “We have been working hard to create a tasting menu which will celebrate some Pony favourites and rework some of our original dishes.

“We’re looking forward to another ten years of continually improving the pub.”
