Zazu’s Kitchen restaurants for sale
Bristol’s two Zazu’s Kitchen restaurants are on the market as their owners decide to concentrate on their growing pubs business.
Zazu’s on Gloucester Road and North Street have been operating for five years and three years but are now being marketed as successful, independent sites.
Director and founder Toby Bywater said: “It’s been a heart-wrenching decision to make but we have opened five very successful and much-loved neighbourhood pubs since starting the restaurants and we feel our future is taking the pub side of our business further using funds from the sale of the restaurants which we have outgrown.”
is needed now More than ever
Pubs owned by the Zazu’s Kitchen Group – one of whose partners is Dougal Templeton, a consultant publisher at Bristol24/7 – are the Grace, Knowle, Greenbank and Westbury Park in Bristol, and the Bear in Bath.
“We applied the core values of our Zazu restaurants to the pubs such as fresh, quality food all made in-house by skilled kitchen teams, a friendly welcome, and staff who work hard to create a strong neighbourhood vibe,” Bywater added.
“We now want to reinvest into the pubs as well as opening new ones both in Bristol and elsewhere.”
Both the Gloucester Road and North Street Zazu’s restaurants will remain open and trading as normal. The company is also hoping to retain as many of the core staff as possible as they continue with their expansion plans.
