Icon Films in UK’s top 20 TV & film employers

By Ellis Simpson  Tuesday Feb 28, 2017

Bristol-based Icon Films has come out as one of the top 20 places to work in the TV and Film industry in the UK, as recognised by Broadcast Magazine.

The company produces some of the most popular factual TV programmes both here in the UK and in the US, including River Monsters, Savage Kingdom and Andrew Marr: My Brain and Me (pictured above).

The results of the UK-wide survey were complied from questionnaires completed by both employers and, anonymously, by employees.

Icon Film say they are dedicated to supporting local emerging talent in the industry. Managing director Laura Marshall said: “The leadership team at Icon Films are thrilled that we have been cited in this survey and that the thought and hard work that goes into running a company is recognised and appreciated by those who work with us”.

It’s more good news for Bristol’s growing film and TV industry, which has recently seen big-budget productions like Sherlock and Poldark filmed on location across the city, and at The Bottle Yard Studios in Hengrove.
